Aranet Demo Stand at the National Library of Latvia
Starting January 13, Aranet educational demo stand is available at the Technology and Natural Sciences Reading Room (3rd floor) of the National Library of Latvia.
We invite everyone to visit one of Latvia’s national treasures – the National Library of Latvia – and explore how smart environmental monitoring helps create healthier and safer indoor spaces.
Three Jars – Three Environmental Scenarios
The stand consists of three transparent jars, each simulating a real-life environment and demonstrating how different environmental factors affect indoor conditions.

Radon jar
Radon naturally forms in rocks and soil and may accumulate in buildings. This jar contains rocks to simulate such conditions and demonstrates how radon levels can increase, highlighting the importance of radon monitoring for building safety.
CO2 jar
Carbon dioxide tends to rise in closed, poorly ventilated indoor spaces, while outdoor air usually maintains healthy levels. This jar simulates a forest environment to show stable and healthy CO2 concentrations.
Radiation jar
Metal objects and certain materials can contribute to low levels of natural background radiation. This jar demonstrates how even small changes in radiation levels can be detected.
