The Glasgow City Council has bought 5 000 Aranet4 CO2 monitors to measure the air quality in every teaching space in every school in the city.

This will allow the members of the staff or pupils themselves to act quickly and ventilate when the CO2 levels rise above the acceptable level.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the UK government has made an official requirement for schools to measure CO2. Since CO2 is a good proxy for COVID-19 infection risk, monitoring carbon dioxide and proper ventilation can help mitigate the spread of this and other airborne diseases. Keeping the air fresh in the classrooms can also improve the pupils’ academic performance, attendance, and general respiratory health.*

Aranet team thanks our partners Duomo UK for their cooperation and the professional management of this deal.
